The Dangers Of Ecstasy


With all of the new drugs coming out, it is important that you learn all that you can so that you are able to distinguish whether or not someone you love might be using. Ecstasy, a very popular drug on the club scene, is a stimulant that is known to cause euphoria and hallucinations.

Many users that take ecstasy, or X, think that they are mainly taking it to get a good feeling that will also give them a burst of energy. However, what they are not realizing is that this is a drug that is very dangerous to people of all ages who may be taking it.

Being that ecstasy and other hallucinogens are growing in popularity, it is best to educate on all of the dangers. The user will end up feeling a rush or high that makes their feelings more intense, be it good or bad. Once taken and the effects come on, they will usually last for around 6 hours.

While the person is on ecstasy, the heart rate rises, blurred vision can occur along with dry mouth, nausea and more. Some people will even say that they will become confused, paranoid, anxious or even fearful of people or sounds that are around them.

There are even more dangers with drug abuse involving ecstasy because the person taking it can become severely overheated and dehydrated. This can lead to breakdown of muscles, the kidneys, liver and even lead to heart damage or death.

Taking this drug can also cause swelling in the brain, seizures or even permanent brain damage. If you or anyone that you know has or does take ecstasy, it is best that you learn all that you can so you understand the dangers and try to get help as soon as possible.
